She is a recipient of the 2022 Laadli Media & Advertising Awards for Gender Sensitivity. For the last six years, her reporting has been focused on sexual violence, politics and crime.

A Suitable Agency will represent the award-winning reporter’s forthcoming book on sexual violence. The book follows the author’s six-year-long investigation into, and incisive reporting on, multiple cases of sexual violence, including “[the] sexual assault that unmasked Malayalam cinema.”

The idea of the book comes at the back of Suresh’s tenacious reporting for six years on multiple sexual assault cases. The tipping point was her ten-month-long investigation into the sexual assault of a top female actor in the Malayalam cinema, and her perceptive reporting has, for nearly a year, delved into how that one crime forced the Malayalam film industry to reckon with its rot. She will deep dive to expose workings of the patriarchal power structures that enable sexual violence and how they attempt to control and manipulate the ensuing narratives thereafter.
